Sleep Tip #39: Lift Your Bed Head When You Have a Cold

When you're feeling under the weather, getting a good night's rest could almost be impossible. Fortunately, there are ways to help relieve your cold symptoms for bedtime! Some people say that raising your head will help to drain your sinuses, but it is not wise to use pillows to accomplish that. This will help to create a more natural angle for you to rest on.

Sleep Tip #35: Write in a Journal to Fall Back Asleep

Waking up in the middle of the night can be very stressful. Some people may try to force themselves to fall back asleep, which causes more stress and keeps them up later. If you have already tried techniques such as visualization and breathing to nod off but they have not worked, get up. Try doing something soothing to put your mind back at ease. Writing in a journal may help ease your mind back into a sleepy state. Write out lists or create a poem or limerick while you're awake. This will keep your mind occupied and not worried about the fact that you aren't asleep, helping you to doze off easily when the time comes.
